Brody's 2nd Birthday

Brody turned 2 years old on Thursday! I can hardly believe how big he has gotten so quickly! He can even say "Jamie" now instead of "Mimi" - although I find myself still saying "Mimi" because I've gotten so used to it!

We had a small family party for him on Thursday night - Susie was home from Miami so she was there, Daddy, Paul, me, Tracy, Jena, and Shawn. Brody tried valiantly to blow out the candles on his birthday cake, but Jena ended up having to help him. He did manage to eat the cake himself though! His face while we were singing happy birthday to him was probably the best part of the night - it just lit up and he got so excited that everyone was singing! So adorable.

He also actually had fun opening presents for the first time too. He opened everything himself and got really excited about all of his gifts! He loved the new shoes his Mommy & Daddy got him (he insisted on wearing them immediately) and the little Cars papasan toddler chair they got him. He also loved the Handy Manny power tool toy that Tracy got him and the water play table that Paul and I got him. He ended up playing in the yard in the water for a long time! He loved pouring water into the funnel and making the water wheel turn.

Happy 2nd Birthday, little guy. We love you so much!
